The American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, houses the largest collection of traditional Swedish tiled stoves, known as kakelugnar, outside of Sweden.
Each of the 11 stoves is uniquely hand-painted, glazed, and styled with ornate Rococo designs, nature motifs, or Scandinavian mythology.
